The Master Admin Payor user is the main user of the Payor account. Each Payor account is limited to two Master Admin users. This user is the only user who may add and edit Admin and Support Payor users. Master Admin users also have the ability to manage webhook endpoints via API and UI, add Payees, and instruct payouts.
Only a Master Admin user may add or edit Admin users. Both Master Admin and Admin users may add or edit Support users.
To add a new user:
- Login to the Payor Portal, and select Users from the side navigation
- Click Create located at the top right of the page
- Enter all information required:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- SMS Phone Number
- Primary Phone Number
- Secondary Phone Number (optional)
- Role, choose Admin or Support
- Two-Factor Authentication, choose Yubikey, Authenticator App, or SMS
- Click CREATE
An email will be sent to the new user containing an expiring link to set up their account.
Please note: Velo requires multi-factor authentication as we strive to provide the highest level of security for your payments. To access their profile, new Admin users must have a YubiKey or use an authenticator app. If you have opted to use Yubikey, please contact the Velo Payments team to have a key programmed and issued to new Admin users.
All Administrative users are required to use YubiKey or an authenticator app as their authentication type. Additionally, only Payor users with Admin access are able to invite Payor Support users, Payees, and instruct payments.
Support users have a view only access to the platform. This is a read-only access and would be appropriate for those who need to address questions, research, and troubleshoot payments.
