There are three user roles available for Payors: Master Admins, Admins, and Support users.
The Master Admin user is the main user of the account. This role is the only user that may add and edit both Admin and Support Payor users. Master Admin users can also manage webhook endpoints via API and UI, add Payees, and instruct payouts.
An Admin user is the role under the Master Admin user. This would be appropriate for those who need to add Support users, instruct payouts, and invite Payees. Only Master Admin users can add or edit other Admin users.
Support users have read-only access. This would be appropriate for those who need to address questions, research, and troubleshoot payments. Both Master Admin and Admin users may add or edit Support users.
To add a user,
- Login to the Payor Portal, and select Users from the side navigation
- Click Create located at the top right of the page
- Enter all information required:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- SMS Phone Number
- Primary Phone Number
- Secondary Phone Number (optional)
- Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Create
An email will be sent to the new user containing an expiring link to set up their account.
Two-factor authentication: Velo requires two-factor authentication for users to access their profiles. For authenticator apps on a mobile device, Velo recommends Authy or Google Authenticator. Both can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play store for free.
