In order to begin receiving payments, you must first set up your account. The company paying you will send you an email invitation containing a link to get started. Velo cannot invite you to the system on a Payor’s behalf.
If you are unable to locate the email invitation in your inbox, we suggest checking your junk or spam folder and search “Velo”.
Please review the instructions below to set up your Payee account. You may also download a Payee Onboarding Example at the bottom of this page.
General Onboarding Flow
Please note, you will need to have the following in hand to complete enrollment: your Tax ID, mobile phone, and banking information. When you’re ready, click the link in the invitation email you received and follow the steps below.
1) Sign up with Velo and secure your account to protect your identity.
- Verify your Identity:
- You will be prompted to verify your identity by entering specific digits of your Tax ID.
- Accept Velo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy:
- Please take a moment to read and accept the Terms of Use. To continue enrollment, you must also agree to authorize Velo the ability to share information with Third Party Services in accordance with the Terms of Use (i.e. Velo's bank partner).
- Confirm your account profile:
- Confirm your account type, Individual or Company.
- Review your profile information:
- Create login credentials:
- Create a password and provide a phone number to be used for two-factor authentication and payment notifications.
- Once a phone number has been provided, a text message with a code will be triggered. Please confirm the phone number by entering the verification code.
2) Provide your bank account details so you can get paid using Velo.
- Accept your invitation to receive payment from your Payor and add a preferred payment Method.
- Enter your preferred Payment Method (options will vary depending on your Payor and country):
- Confirm your banking information entered and visit the Payee Portal.
Security Challenge Onboarding Flow
If your Payor has opted to use the Security Challenge Code onboarding experience, they will send you instructions regarding this code directly. Once you receive your challenge code and your invitation, click the link in the invitation email you received and follow the steps below.
Please note, you will need to have the following in hand to complete enrollment: your Security Challenge Code, Tax ID, mobile phone, and banking information.
